Record number of adults gain vocational qualifications
According to the latest National Statistics, 320,600 adults achieved a full level 2 qualification (equivalent to two GCSE’s) in the last academic year – the highest numbers to date.
The figures also revealed that 68 per cent more adults started a qualification last year than in the previous 12 months and that almost 400,000 adults have already started qualifications this academic year.
The statistics demonstrate that businesses and individuals are placing greater emphasis on skills and qualifications in order to succeed during the financial downturn.
